Data Sheet

Human Pancreatic Microvascular Endothelial Cells (HPnMEC) provided by Innoprot are isolated from human normal pancreatic tissue. HPnMEC are cryopreserved at secondary cultures and delivered frozen. HPnMEC are guaranteed to further expand for 10 population doublings at the condition provided by Innoprot.

Innoprot also offers optimized medium and reagents for the growth of Human Pancreatic Microvascular Endothelial Cells which are quality tested together and guaranteed to give maximum performance as a global solution for in vitro HPnMEC culture.

Microvascular endothelial cells play a central role in inflammation, tumor metastasis, wound healing and tissue engineering. They line the blood vessels and contribute to many biological processes such as hematosis, coagulation and trafficking of lymphocytes. The endothelial cell is of primary importance in the extravasation of leukocytes from the circulation into sites of tissue inflammation. The structure and function of endothelial cells are differentially regulated in space and time. The growth of both tumors and nonneoplastic tissues may be influenced by signals from the vascular endothelium. Some studies suggest the existence of an endothelial-endocrine axis within adult pancreatic islets, which is of importance for adult beta-cell proliferation
