Data Sheet

Peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMC) are obtained from a leukapheresis product purified by a density gradient centrifugation and are available in cryopreserved format. Apheresis‐derived mononuclear cells are highly purified, containing a more pure population of mononuclear cells when compared to buffy coat.

Features/Benefits

A mononuclear cell is any cell that has a single round nucleus; examples of a mononuclear cell are lymphocytes, monocytes, and dendritic cells. These cells are critical components of the immune system which are involved in both humoral and cell‐mediated immunity. The mononuclear cell is a widely used product in research and clinical applications such as in microbiology, virology, oncology, vaccine development, transplant and regenerative biology, and toxicology.
