A novel tGFP-human Androgen Receptor cell line has been developed through stable transfection to observe the dynamics of the hormone/receptor complex in living cells and to assay for compounds inducing tGFP-hAR nuclear translocation and formation of nuclear foci.

Fluorescent hAR cell line was obtained by transfection of an expression vector for a fusion protein of turboGFP and human AR, as well as G418 into HEK293 cells with Evrogen TurboGFP. Single cells with strong green fluorescence were selected by flow cytometry, and allowed to expand. These cells constitutively express the tGFP-hAR fusion protein.

Assay Details

Innoprot AR nuclear translocation Assay has been designed to assay compounds or analyze stimuli for their ability to modulate androgen receptor nuclear translocation process and quantifying the fluorescence distribution inside the cells.

This highly reproducible assay allows monitoring androgen receptor nuclear translocation process in High Content Analysis and fluorescence microscope applications.
