Bradykinin Receptor B2 Assay from Innoprot provides the analysis of both signalling pathways involving GPCR activation; G protein by Calcium flux and β-arrestin recruitment using Nomad multiplex technology. The primary transduction mechanism involves Gq/G11 family transducers, so we measure Ca2+ flux in combination with β-arrestin recruitment in this assay.
The bradykinin receptor family is a group of G-protein receptors whose principal ligand is the protein bradykinin. This gene encodes a receptor for bradykinin B2 (BDKRB2). The 9 aa bradykinin peptide elicits many responses such as vasodilation, edema, smooth muscle spasm and pain fiber stimulation. Classical agonist of this receptor includes bradykinin1-8 (bradykinin with the first 8 amino acid) and antagonist includes [Leu8]-bradykinin1-8. This receptor associates with G proteins that stimulate a phosphatidylinositol-calcium second messenger system.
