EP1 Prostanoid Receptor Assay (PTGER1) from Innoprot allows to assay compounds, or analyze their capability to modulate PTGER1. When a ligand binds to the PTGER1, it activates a G protein; which in turn, triggers a cellular response mediated by calcium. The binding of an agonist to PTGER1 induces mobilization of intracellular calcium and also activation of PKC via the PLC–IP3 and DAG pathways, respectively.
EP1 Prostanoid Receptor Assay comprises the measurement of calcium concentration in the cytosol. The high reproducibility of this assay allows monitoring PTGER1 receptor activation process in living cells.
