ETA Endothelin Receptor Assay from Innoprot allows to assay compounds, or analyze their capability to modulate EDNRA. When a ligand binds to the EDNRA, it activates a G protein, which in turn, triggers a cellular response comprising Calcium. Our EDNRA assay measures Calcium concentration changes in the cytosol using Endothelin I as positive control. The high reproducibility of this assay allows monitoring EDNRA activation/inhibition process in High Throughput Screening.
Endothelin receptor type A is a GPCR which activates a phosphatidylinositol-calcium second messenger system. Its ligand, endothelin, consists of a family of three potent vasoactive peptides: ET1, ET2, and ET3.
