FP Prostanoid Receptor Assay (PTGFR) from Innoprot allows to assay compounds, or analyze their capability to modulate PTGFR. When a ligand binds to the PTGFR, it activates a G protein; which in turn, triggers a cellular response mediated by calcium. The binding of an agonist to PTGFR induces mobilization of intracellular calcium and also activation of PKC via the PLC–IP3 and DAG pathways, respectively.
FP Prostanoid Receptor Assay comprises the measurement of calcium concentration in the cytosol. The high reproducibility of this assay allows monitoring PTGFR receptor activation process in living cells.
