Green Fluorescent GLP-2 Receptor Cell Line

Green Fluorescent GPCR cell lines from Innoprot allows to perform GPCR internalization assays. Each vial of Green Fluorescent GLP-2 Receptor Cell Line contains U2OS cells stably expressing GLP2R tagged with tGFP. These Cell lines proliferate in vitro maintaining fluorescent GPCR expression following the cell culture manual.

Innoprot Green Fluorescent GLP-2 Receptor Cell Line allows to assay compounds, or analyze their capability to modulate GLP2R activation and the following redistribution process inside the cells. When a ligand binds to the GLP-2 Receptor, it activates a G protein, which internalizes in big and high intensity vesicles. This cell line has been validated measuring Fluorescent GLP2R redistribution by increase of fluorescence surrounding the nuclei using image analysis algorithms. The high reproducibility of this assay allows monitoring GLP-2 Receptor redistribution process in High Throughput Screening.

The Glucagon-like peptide-2 receptor (GLP2 Receptor) is a GPCR superfamily member closely related to the glucagon receptor (GLP1 receptor). This is a receptor for glucagon-like peptide 2. GLP2 is a 33-amino acid proglucagon peptide subproduct and the intestinal enteroendocrine cells release it. GLP2 stimulates intestinal growth and upregulates villus height in the small intestine. Moreover, GLP2 prevents intestinal hypoplasia resulting from total parenteral nutrition. GLP2R is present in the gut and in enteroendocrine cells in the intestinal tract. Green Fluorescent GLP-2 Receptor Cell Line from Innoprot allows the measurement of the activity and potency of ligands; such as GLP2.
