cAMPNOMAD Cells are cell lines stably co-expressing tag-free GPCRs and cAMP Nomad Biosensor to monitor G-protein modulation by cAMP release. Each vial of cAMPNOMAD Adenosine A2B Receptor Cell Line from Innoprot contains U2OS cells stably expressing the following constructs:

  • Human Adenosine A2B receptor (ADORA2B) with no tag
  • cAMP Nomad Biosensor (Red Fluorescence)

cAMPNOMAD ADORA2B Receptor Cell Line allows for the assay of compounds that modulate the G-protein signaling pathway via Gs protein activation. When an agonist binds to ADORA2B, the Gs protein is activated, which, in turn, triggers a cellular response mediated by cAMP. This leads to an increase in the red fluorescence intensity of the cAMP biosensor. Thus, the activity can be easily quantified in living cells in a dose-response manner by fluorescence emission in a microplate reader.

The adenosine A2B receptor (ADORA2B), is a member of the adenosine receptor family of GPCRs with adenosine as its endogenous ligand. Activation of the adenosine A2B receptor by an agonist leads to the coupling of Gs proteins. This activates adenylate cyclase, and consequently leads to an increase in intracellular cAMP levels.

The adenosine A2B receptor is widely distributed throughout the body. It is involved in various physiological processes, such as vasodilation, inflammation modulation, and tissue protection under hypoxic conditions. It is also expressed in smooth muscle, immune cells, and the gastrointestinal tract.
