HiTSeeker Bradykinin receptor B1 Cell Line

HiTSeeker are cell lines stably expressing label-free GPCRs, also known as seven-(pass)-transmembrane domain receptors. Each vial of HiTSeeker Bradykinin receptor B1 Cell Line contains HEK293 cells stably expressing BDKRB1 with no tag. HiTSeeker Cell lines proliferate in vitro maintaining GPCR expression following the cell culture manual.

Innoprot HiTSeeker BDKRB1 Cell Line allows to assay compounds, or analyze their capability to modulate BDKRB1. When a ligand binds to the BDKRB1, it activates a G protein, which in turn, triggers a cellular response mediated by a second messenger. HiTSeeker BDKRB1 cell line has been validated performing an assay with [3H] bradykinin (1 nM) and increasing concentrations of no radioactive competitor. The high reproducibility of this assay allows monitoring BDKRB1 receptor activation process in High Throughput Screening.

The bradykinin receptor family is a group of G-protein receptors whose principal ligand is the protein bradykinin. This gene encodes a receptor for bradykinin B1. Bradykinin, a 9 aa peptide, appears mainly in pathophysiologic conditions such as inflammation, trauma, burns, shock, and allergy. The protein encoded by this gene is one of these receptors and is synthesized de novo following tissue injury. Classical agonist of this receptor includes bradykinin1-8 (bradykinin with the first 8 amino acid) and antagonist includes [Leu8]-bradykinin1-8. Receptor binding leads to an increase in the cytosolic calcium ion concentration, ultimately resulting in chronic and acute inflammatory responses.
