HiTSeeker EP1 Prostanoid Receptor Cell Line

HiTSeeker are cell lines stably expressing label-free GPCRs, also known as seven-(pass)-transmembrane domain receptors. Each vial of HiTSeeker EP1 Prostanoid Receptor Cell Line contains U2OS cells stably expressing EP1 Receptor with no tag. HiTSeeker Cell lines proliferate in vitro maintaining GPCR expression following the cell culture manual.

Innoprot HiTSeeker EP1 Prostanoid Receptor Cell Line allows to assay compounds, or analyze their capability to modulate EP1 receptor. When a ligand binds to the EP1R, it activates a G protein, which in turn, triggers a cellular response mediated by calcium. HiTSeeker EP1 Receptor cell line has been validated measuring calcium concentration changes in the cytosol upon activation with PGE2. The high reproducibility of this assay allows monitoring EP1 Receptor activation process in High Throughput Screening.

Prostaglandin receptors or prostanoid receptors represent a sub-class of cell surface membrane receptors. Prostaglandins are a group of lipid compounds that participate in a wide range of body functions. EP1 Prostanoid Receptor, which belongs to the G protein-coupled receptor familiy, is one of four receptors which bind with and mediate cellular responses principally to prostaglandin E2) (PGE2). EP1 Receptor generally binds to PGE2 with lesser affinity and responsiveness to certain other prostanoids. This receptor plays roles in mediating algesia and in regulation of blood pressure and also may mediate adrenocorticotropic hormone response to bacterial endotoxin. HiTSeeker EP1 Prostanoid Receptor Cell Line from Innoprot allows the measurement of the activity and potency of ligands; such as PGE2.
