The muscarinic acetylcholine receptor family consists of five GPCRs that mediate some of the neurotransmission functions of acetylcholine in the CNS and the periphery. Innoprot HiTSeeker Muscarinic Acetylcholine Receptor M5 Cell Line allows to assay compounds, or analyze their capability to modulate CHRM5. When a ligand binds to the CHRM5, it activates a G protein, which in turn, triggers a cellular response mediated by calcium. HiTSeeker CHRM5 cell line has been validated measuring calcium concentration changes in the cytosol upon activation with oxotremorine. The high reproducibility of this assay allows monitoring CHRM5 receptor activation process in High Throughput Screening.<\/p>\n
