The tachykinin receptor NK2 (TACR2) also known as neurokinin 2 receptor (NK2R)\u00a0 is a GPCR. This gene encodes the receptor for the tachykinin neuropeptide substance K; also referred to as neurokinin A, although it has some affinity for other tachykinins. The protein is the product of the TACR2 gene. Innoprot HiTSeeker NK2 Tachykinin Receptor Cell Line allows to assay compounds, or analyze their capability to modulate NK2 receptor. When a ligand binds to the NK2R, it activates a G protein, which in turn, triggers a cellular response mediated by calcium. HiTSeeker NK2 Receptor cell line has been validated measuring calcium concentration changes in the cytosol upon activation with Substance P. The high reproducibility of this assay allows monitoring NK2 Receptor activation process in High Throughput Screening.<\/p>\n
