The muscarinic acetylcholine receptor family consists of five GPCRs that mediate some of the neurotransmission functions of acetylcholine in the CNS and the periphery. Innoprot\u00a0Green Fluorescent M1 Muscarinic Acetylcholine Receptor Cell Line<\/strong> allows to assay compounds, or analyze their capability to modulate M1R activation and the following redistribution process inside the cells. When a ligand binds to the M1 Receptor, it activates a G protein, which internalizes in big and high intensity vesicles. This cell line has been validated measuring Fluorescent M1 Receptor redistribution by increase of fluorescence surrounding the nuclei using image analysis algorithms. The high reproducibility of this assay allows monitoring M1 Muscarinic Acetylcholine Receptor redistribution process in High Throughput Screening.<\/p>\n
