Sphingosine-1-phosphate receptor 1 (S1P receptor 1 or S1P1) is also known as endothelial differentiation gene 1 (EDG1). It is a protein that in humans is encoded by the S1PR1 gene. This receptor is a GPCR which binds the bioactive signaling molecule sphingosine 1-phosphate (S1P). S1PR1 belongs to a sphingosine-1-phosphate receptor subfamily comprising five members (S1PR1-5). These Cell lines proliferate in vitro maintaining fluorescent GPCR expression following the cell culture manual.<\/p>\n

Innoprot\u00a0Green Fluorescent S1P1 Lysophospholipid Receptor Cell Line<\/strong> allows to assay compounds, or analyze their capability to modulate S1P1R activation and the following redistribution process inside the cells. When a ligand binds to the S1P1 Receptor, it activates a G protein, which internalizes in big and high intensity vesicles. This cell line has been validated measuring Fluorescent S1P1R redistribution by increase of fluorescence surrounding the nuclei using image analysis algorithms. The high reproducibility of this assay allows monitoring S1P1 Receptor redistribution process in High Throughput Screening.<\/p>\n
