HiTSeeker are cell lines stably expressing label-free GPCRs, also known as seven-(pass)-transmembrane domain receptors. Each vial of HiTSeeker 5-HT2A Serotonin Receptor Cell Line contains U2OS cells stably expressing 5-HT2A Receptor with no tag. HiTSeeker Cell lines proliferate in vitro maintaining GPCR expression following the cell culture manual.

Innoprot HiTSeeker 5-HT2A Serotonin Receptor Cell Line allows to assay compounds, or analyze their capability to modulate 5-HT2A receptor. When a ligand binds to the 5-HT2A receptor, it activates a G protein, which in turn, triggers a cellular response mediated by calcium. HiTSeeker 5-HT2A Serotonin Receptor cell line has been validated measuring calcium concentration changes in the cytosol upon activation with 5-HT. The high reproducibility of this assay allows monitoring 5-HT2A Receptor activation process in High Throughput Screening.
