Green Fluorescent GPCR cell lines from Innoprot allows to perform GPCR internalization assays. Each vial of Green Fluorescent M1 Muscarinic Acetylcholine Receptor Cell Line contains CHO-K1 cells stably expressing M1 Receptor tagged with tGFP.  These Cell lines proliferate in vitro maintaining fluorescent GPCR expression following the cell culture manual.

Innoprot Green Fluorescent M1 Muscarinic Acetylcholine Receptor Cell Line allows to assay compounds, or analyze their capability to modulate M1R activation and the following redistribution process inside the cells. When a ligand binds to the M1 Receptor, it activates a G protein, which internalizes in big and high intensity vesicles. This cell line has been validated measuring Fluorescent M1 Receptor redistribution by increase of fluorescence surrounding the nuclei using image analysis algorithms. The high reproducibility of this assay allows monitoring M1 Muscarinic Acetylcholine Receptor redistribution process in High Throughput Screening.

The muscarinic acetylcholine receptor family consists of five GPCRs that mediate some of the neurotransmission functions of acetylcholine in the CNS and the periphery. The M1 receptor, along with the M3 and M5 receptors; signal through Gq/11 and subsequent release of Calcium from the ER. The M1 receptor mediates depolarization of ganglia by inhibition of voltage-gated M-type K+ channels. In addition, the M1 receptor mediates venous contraction. The muscarinic cholinergic receptor 1 plays an important role in mediation of vagally-induced bronchoconstriction, but also in the acid secretion of the gastrointestinal tract. Green Fluorescent M1 Muscarinic Acetylcholine Receptor Cell Line from Innoprot allows the measurement of the activity and potency of ligands; such as oxotremorine.
