CRF2 is the gene that encodes a protein also known as CRHR-2. The CRF family is a group of G-coupled receptors that shows high affinity for CRH. CRH is a polypeptide hormone and neurotransmitter synthesized in the hypothalamus that is the principal neuroregulator of the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenocortical axis. CRH plays an important role in the stress response and the stimulation of the pituitary synthesis of ACTH (Adrenocorticotropic hormone). HiTSeeker CRF2 Receptor Cell Line allows the measurement of the activity of ligands, such as CRF.
HiTSeeker CRF2 Receptor Cell Line
HiTSeeker CRF2 Receptor Cell Line
HiTSeeker are cell lines stably expressing label-free GPCRs, also known as seven-(pass)-transmembrane domain receptors. Each vial of HiTSeeker CRF2 Cell Line contains HEK293 cells stably expressing CRF2 with no tag. HiTSeeker Cell lines proliferate in vitro maintaining GPCR expression following the cell culture manual.
Innoprot HiTSeeker CRF2 Cell Line allows to assay compounds, or analyze their capability to modulate CRF2. When a ligand binds to the CRF2, it activates a G protein, which in turn, triggers a cellular response mediated by cAMP. HiTSeeker CRF2 cell line has been validated measuring both cAMP and calcium concentration changes in the cytosol upon activation with CRF. The high reproducibility of this assay allows monitoring CRF2 receptor activation process in High Throughput Screening.
