HiTSeeker PAC1 Receptor Cell Line

HiTSeeker are cell lines stably expressing label-free GPCRs, also known as seven-(pass)-transmembrane domain receptors. Each vial of HiTSeeker PAC1 Receptor Cell Line contains HEK293 cells stably expressing PAC1R with no tag. HiTSeeker Cell lines proliferate in vitro maintaining GPCR expression following the cell culture manual.

Innoprot HiTSeeker PAC1 Receptor Cell Line allows to assay compounds, or analyze their capability to modulate PAC1R. When a ligand binds to the PAC1R, it activates a G protein, which in turn, triggers a cellular response mediated by cAMP. HiTSeeker PAC1 Receptor Cell Line has been validated measuring cAMP concentration changes in the cytosol upon activation with PACAP-38. The high reproducibility of this assay allows monitoring PAC1 receptor activation process in High Throughput Screening.

Pituitary adenylate cyclase-activating polypeptide type I receptor (PAC1), is a protein that in humans is encoded by the ADCYAP1R1 gene. This receptor binds pituitary adenylate cyclase activating peptide. PAC1 is a membrane-associated protein and shares significant homology with members of the G-protein coupled class B glucagon/secretin receptor family. This receptor belongs to the family of  VIP and PACAP receptors. PAC1 receptor mediates diverse biological actions of adenylate cyclase activating polypeptide 1 and couples to adenylate cyclase. Alternative splicing of two exons of this gene generates four major splice variants. PAC1 is present in different tissue, such as adrenal medulla, pancreatic acini, uterus, myenteric plexus and brain. It is also present in the trigeminal, otic and superior cervical ganglia (prejunctional) and cerebral arteries (postjunctional). HiTSeeker PAC1 Receptor Cell Line from Innoprot allows the measurement of the activity and potency of ligands; such as PACAP-38.
