Fibroblasts, are mesenchymal cells from the embryonic mesoderm. Fibroblasts secrete a non-rigid extracellular matrix that is both rich in type I and/or type III collagen. They are responsible of the synthesis of extracellular matrix in connective tissues and play a central role in wound healing. They are useful tools for a wide range of cellular and molecular studies, as they are one of the easiest types of cells to grow in culture. In addition, their durability makes them amenable to a variety of manipulations ranging from gene transfection to microinjection. Human Colonic Fibroblasts are an excellent tools to study the colonic physiology and also the mechanisms of colon carcinogenesis

Human Colonic Fibroblasts
Human Colonic Fibroblasts (HCoF) provided by Innoprot are isolated from human healthy colon. HCoF are cryopreserved at passage one and delivered frozen. Each vial of Human Colonic Fibroblasts contains more than 500.000 viable cells. They are guaranteed to further expand for 15 population doublings following the instructions provided in the technical sheet.
Innoprot also offers optimized medium and reagents for the growth of Human Colonic Fibroblasts which are quality tested together and guaranteed to give maximum performance as a global solution for in vitro HCoF culture.
