HiTSeeker are cell lines stably expressing label-free GPCRs, also known as seven-(pass)-transmembrane domain receptors. Each vial of HiTSeeker FSH Recetpor Cell Line contains HEK293 cells stably expressing human Follicle Stimulating Hormone Receptor with no tag. HiTSeeker Cell lines proliferate in vitro maintaining GPCR expression following the cell culture manual.

Innoprot HiTSeeker FSH Receptor Cell Line allows to assay compounds, or analyze their capability to modulate FSHR. When a ligand binds to the FSHR, it activates a G protein, which in turn, triggers a cellular response mediated by second messengers (cAMP). HiTSeeker FSHR cell line has been validated measuring cAMP concentration changes in the cytosol upon activation with rhFSH. The high reproducibility of this assay allows monitoring FSH receptor activation process in High Throughput Screening.

FSH is part of the treatments for infertility therapy, mainly for ovarian hyperstimulation as part of IVF. In some cases, reversal of anovulation treatments requires FSH as well. The FSH receptor is the primary target of the approved drug urofollitropin, a recombinant form of endogenous FSH.
