HiTSeeker are cell lines stably expressing label-free GPCRs, also known as seven-(pass)-transmembrane domain receptors. Each vial of HiTSeeker Cholecystokinin A receptor Cell Line contains U2OS cells stably expressing CCKBR with no tag. HiTSeeker Cell lines proliferate in vitro maintaining GPCR expression following the cell culture manual.

Innoprot HiTSeeker Cholecystokinin B receptor Cell Line allows to assay compounds, or analyze their capability to modulate CCKBR. When a ligand binds to the CCKBR, it activates a G protein, which in turn, triggers a cellular response mediated by calcium. HiTSeeker CCKBR cell line has been validated measuring calcium concentration changes in the cytosol upon activation with CCK Octapeptide sulfated. The high reproducibility of this assay allows monitoring CCKBR receptor activation process in High Throughput Screening.

CCK receptors significantly influence neurotransmission in the brain, regulating anxiety, feeding, and locomotion. Two GPCRs known as CCK1 and CCK2 receptors composes the CCK receptors family. This gene encodes a G protein-coupled receptor for gastrin and cholecystokinin (CCK), regulatory peptides of the brain and gastrointestinal tract. Cholecystokinin B receptor is a type B gastrin receptor, which has a high affinity for both sulfated and nonsulfated CCK analogs and is present principally in the central nervous system and the gastrointestinal tract. CCK-B expression may correlate parallel to anxiety and depression phenotypes in humans. HiTSeeker Cholecystokinin B receptor Cell Line from Innoprot allows the measurement of the activity and potency of ligands; such as cholecystokinin.
