Prostaglandins are a group of lipid compounds that participate in a wide range of body functions. EP2 Prostanoid Receptor, which belongs to the G protein-coupled receptor familiy, is one of four receptors which bind with and mediate cellular responses principally to prostaglandin E2) (PGE2).
