VPAC2 Receptor Assay

VPAC2 Receptor Assay

VPAC2 Receptor Assay (VIPR2) from Innoprot measures VIPR2 activation using Nomad Biosensors technology. VPAC2 Receptor signaling occurs via adenylate cyclase stimulation through trimeric Gs proteins, increasing cAMP, and downstream L-type calcium channel interaction.

In this assay, we measure the receptor activation/inhibition by cAMP accumulation using cAMP-Nomad Biosensor. The high reproducibility of this assay allows monitoring VPAC2 Receptor activation process in living cells.

VPAC2 Receptor is present throughout the body and is also present in a variety of human neoplastic tissues. VPAC2 may play a role in schizophrenia, but also the abnormal expression of VIPR2 messenger RNA in gallbladder tissue may play a role in the formation of gall stones and polyps.
