The bradykinin receptor family is a group of G-protein receptors whose principal ligand is the protein bradykinin. This gene encodes a receptor for bradykinin B2. The 9 aa bradykinin peptide elicits many responses such as vasodilation, edema, smooth muscle spasm and pain fiber stimulation. The protein encoded by this gene is one of these receptors and is synthesized de novo following tissue injury. Classical agonist of this receptor includes bradykinin1-8 (bradykinin with the first 8 amino acid) and antagonist includes [Leu8]-bradykinin1-8. This receptor associates with G proteins that stimulate a phosphatidylinositol-calcium second messenger system. HiTSeeker Bradykinin Receptor B2 Cell Line from Innoprot allows the measurement of the activity and potency of ligands; such as bradykinin.
HiTSeeker Bradykinin receptor B2 Cell Line
HiTSeeker Bradykinin receptor B2 Cell Line
HiTSeeker are cell lines stably expressing label-free GPCRs, also known as seven-(pass)-transmembrane domain receptors. Each vial ofHiTSeeker Bradykinin receptor B2 Cell Line contains HEK293 or U2OS cells stably expressing BDKRB2 with no tag. HiTSeeker Cell lines proliferate in vitro maintaining GPCR expression following the cell culture manual.
Innoprot HiTSeeker BDKRB2 Cell Line allows to assay compounds, or analyze their capability to modulate BDKRB1. When a ligand binds to the BDKRB2, it activates a G protein, which in turn, triggers a cellular response mediated by calcium. HiTSeeker BDKRB2 cell line has been validated measuring calcium concentration changes in the cytosol upon activation with bradykinin. The high reproducibility of this assay allows monitoring BDKRB2 receptor activation process in High Throughput Screening.
