HiTSeeker Cholecystokinin A receptor Cell Line

HiTSeeker are cell lines stably expressing label-free GPCRs, also known as seven-(pass)-transmembrane domain receptors. Each vial of HiTSeeker Cholecystokinin A receptor Cell Line contains U2OS cells stably expressing CCKAR with no tag. HiTSeeker Cell lines proliferate in vitro maintaining GPCR expression following the cell culture manual.

Innoprot HiTSeeker CCKAR Cell Line allows to assay compounds, or analyze their capability to modulate CCKAR. When a ligand binds to the CCKAR, it activates a G protein, which in turn, triggers a cellular response mediated by calcium. HiTSeeker CCKAR cell line has been validated measuring calcium concentration changes in the cytosol upon activation with CCK. The high reproducibility of this assay allows monitoring CCKAR receptor activation process in High Throughput Screening.

Two GPCRs known as CCK1 and CCK2 receptors composes the CCK receptors family. Cholecystokinin A receptor (CCKAR) encodes a GPCR that binds cholecystokinin (CCK) family of peptide hormones. It is a main gastrointestinal and neuronal peptide hormone; playing an important role in stimulating gallbladder contraction, pancreatic secretion, gastrointestinal motility and satiety. It is also a major physiological mediator of pancreatic growth and enzyme secretion, smooth muscle contraction and secretion from gastric mucosal cells. The binding of CCK to CCKAR induces mobilization of intracellular calcium and activation of PKC via the PLC–IP3 and DAG pathways, respectively.
