HiTSeeker D1 Dopamine Receptor Cell Line

HiTSeeker are cell lines stably expressing label-free GPCRs, also known as seven-(pass)-transmembrane domain receptors. Each vial of HiTSeeker D1 Dopamine Receptor Cell Line contains HEK293 cells stably expressing DRD1 with no tag. HiTSeeker Cell lines proliferate in vitro maintaining GPCR expression following the cell culture manual.

Innoprot HiTSeeker DRD1 Cell Line allows to assay compounds, or analyze their capability to modulate DRD1. When a ligand binds to the DRD1, it activates a G protein, which in turn, triggers a cellular response mediated by cAMP. HiTSeeker DRD1 cell line has been validated measuring cAMP concentration changes in the cytosol upon activation with Dopamine. The high reproducibility of this assay allows monitoring DRD1 receptor activation process in High Throughput Screening.

This gene encodes the D1 subtype of the dopamine receptor. The D1 subtype is the most abundant dopamine receptor in the central nervous system. Specifically, it is is highest in the dorsal striatum (caudate and putamen) and ventral striatum (nucleus accumbens and olfatory tubercle). But lower levels of DRD1 mRNA expression occur in the basolateral amygdala, cerebral cortex, septum, thalamus, and hypothalamus. This G-protein-coupled receptor stimulates adenylyl cyclase and activates cyclic AMP-dependent protein kinases. D1 receptors regulate neuronal growth and development, mediate some behavioral responses, and modulate dopamine receptor D2-mediated events. Alternate transcription initiation sites result in two transcript variants of this gene. HiTSeeker D1 Dopamine Receptor Cell Line allows the measurement of the activity of ligands, such as Dopamine.
