HiTSeeker are cell lines stably expressing label-free GPCRs, also known as seven-(pass)-transmembrane domain receptors. Each vial of HiTSeeker NTSR1 Neurotensin Receptor Cell Line contains U2OS cells stably expressing NTSR1 with no tag. HiTSeeker Cell lines proliferate in vitro maintaining GPCR expression following the cell culture manual.

Innoprot HiTSeeker NTSR1 Neurotensin Receptor Cell Line allows to assay compounds, or analyze their capability to modulate Neurotensin 1 receptor. When a ligand binds to the NTSR1, it activates a G protein, which in turn, triggers a cellular response mediated by calcium. HiTSeeker NTSR1 Receptor cell line has been validated measuring calcium concentration changes in the cytosol upon activation with Neurotensin. The high reproducibility of this assay allows monitoring NTSR1 activation process in High Throughput Screening.

Size/Quantity: 2 vials containing 3×106 cells / vial

The neurotensin receptors are transmembrane receptors that bind the neurotransmitter neurotensin. Neurotensin (NT) is a brain and gastrointestinal peptide. It fulfills a dual function of neurotransmitter or neuromodulator in the nervous system and of local hormone in the periphery. NTSR1 and NTSR2 genes contain seven transmembrane helices and are GPCRs. NTSR1 mediates multiple biological through modulation by neurotensin; such as low blood pressure, high blood sugar, low body temperature, antinociception, and regulation of intestinal motility and secretion. HiTSeeker NTSR1 Neurotensin Receptor Cell Line from Innoprot allows the measurement of the activity and potency of ligands; such as Neurotensin.
