HiTSeeker are cell lines stably expressing label-free GPCRs, also known as seven-(pass)-transmembrane domain receptors. Each vial of HiTSeeker NK2 Tachykinin Receptor Cell Line contains U2OS cells stably expressing NK2 Receptor with no tag. HiTSeeker Cell lines proliferate in vitro maintaining GPCR expression following the cell culture manual.

Innoprot HiTSeeker NK2 Tachykinin Receptor Cell Line allows to assay compounds, or analyze their capability to modulate NK2 receptor. When a ligand binds to the NK2R, it activates a G protein, which in turn, triggers a cellular response mediated by calcium. HiTSeeker NK2 Receptor cell line has been validated measuring calcium concentration changes in the cytosol upon activation with Substance P. The high reproducibility of this assay allows monitoring NK2 Receptor activation process in High Throughput Screening.

The tachykinin receptor NK2 (TACR2) also known as neurokinin 2 receptor (NK2R)  is a GPCR. This gene encodes the receptor for the tachykinin neuropeptide substance K; also referred to as neurokinin A, although it has some affinity for other tachykinins. The protein is the product of the TACR2 gene. Several selective ligands for NK2 are now available, and although most of the compounds developed so far are peptides, one small-molecule antagonist Saredutant is currently in clinical trials as an anxiolytic and antidepressant. HiTSeeker NK2 Tachykinin Receptor Cell Line from Innoprot allows the measurement of the activity and potency of ligands; such as Substance P.
