Rango de precios: desde 450,00€ hasta 650,00€

Mouse Microglia (MM) provided by Innoprot are isolated from E13.5 swiss mouse embryos. MM are cryopreserved immedaitelly after isolation and delivered frozen. Each vial of Mouse Microglia contains more than 1 million viable cells or 500.000 viable cells. MM are guaranteed to further culture in the condition provided in the technical sheet; however, Mouse Microglia are not recommended for expanding or long-term cultures since the cells do not proliferate in regular culture

Innoprot also offers optimized medium and reagents for the growth of Mouse Microglia which are quality tested together and guaranteed to give maximum performance as a global solution for in vitro MM culture.

Microglia, a key glial cell type in the central nervous system (CNS), play a crucial role in brain immune surveillance and homeostasis. Mouse Microglia are the primary innate immune effectors of the central nervous system. They present antigens via MHC class II to CD4+ T cells, perform Fc-mediated phagocytosis, and share antigens with hematopoietic and tissue macrophages. When activated, mouse microglia act as brain macrophages, clearing debris, damaged cells, and microbes. This occurs during brain development, programmed cell death, or CNS injury. They also influence brain function through interactions with neurons and other glial cells. By releasing growth factors and cytokines, they contribute to both normal and disease processes. Mouse microglia are a valuable tool for studying brain function and disease mechanisms. In vitro models using primary microglia help researchers investigate neuroinflammation, neurodegeneration, and potential therapeutic targets.
